Mercy Flight Central Achieves Full Three-Year Reaccreditation by CAMTS, Affirming Excellence in Air Medical Transport

Canandaigua, NY — January 19, 2026 — Mercy Flight Central (MFC) is proud to announce it has been fully reaccredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) for a full three-year term, the highest accreditation period awarded by the organization.

CAMTS accreditation represents the gold standard in air medical and critical care transport. The rigorous, independent evaluation examines every aspect of an organization’s operations, including clinical care, aviation safety, communications, aircraft maintenance, education and training, and organizational leadership. Achieving full reaccreditation confirms that Mercy Flight Central not only meets, but in many areas exceeds, the highest national standards for patient care and safety.

“This reaccreditation is a powerful affirmation of who we are as an organization,” said Lauren Kolb, President CEO at Mercy Flight Central. “This outcome reflects years of continuous effort, attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to doing what is right—for our patients, our partners, and one another.”

The reaccreditation process is comprehensive and demanding, requiring organizations to demonstrate a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. CAMTS accreditation is widely recognized by healthcare systems, EMS agencies, and regulators as a benchmark of excellence in medical transport.

Mercy Flight Central’s successful reaccreditation reflects the collective efforts of its entire team, including flight clinicians, pilots, mechanics, communications specialists, educators, administrative staff, and leadership. Each role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, reliable, and high-quality care for patients across the region.

“Accreditation is never about one department or one moment in time,” Lauren added. “It is a reflection of an entire organization working together with professionalism, integrity, and a shared focus on excellence.”
