Mercy Flight Central Honored by Praise from Vertical Aviation International Following June Visit

In June, we had the pleasure of welcoming Josh Rousseau, Northeast Regional Representative for Vertical Aviation International (VAI), back to Mercy Flight Central's Canandaigua base. While we always value the opportunity to spend time with industry partners, we were especially humbled by the words Josh shared following his visit.

After spending the day with members of our leadership team and learning more about the work happening across our organization, Josh reflected on his experience in a LinkedIn post that left our team both grateful and inspired.

"Mercy Flight Central, a nonprofit, continues to set the standard for mission-driven air med service in the region."

To hear those words from someone who works closely with operators throughout the Northeast—and who understands the challenges and opportunities facing the air medical industry—was an incredible honor.

Josh also captured something that is at the heart of who we are as an organization:

"There's a unique kind of family that forms in air med work, built on trust and shared purpose... being back with this amazing team... quickly reminded me how lucky I am to be a very small part of something so meaningful."

Those sentiments resonated deeply with all of us. Every day, our pilots, mechanics, communications specialists, nurses, paramedics, administrative staff, and volunteers come together with one shared purpose: providing lifesaving critical care to our communities when every minute matters. Knowing that commitment is recognized by respected leaders within our industry is incredibly meaningful.

Josh also highlighted something we take great pride in:

At Mercy Flight Central, we have always believed that our mission extends beyond the moments our aircraft take flight. It is built through partnerships with hospitals, EMS agencies, firefighters, law enforcement, local governments, donors, volunteers, and the countless community members who make our work possible.

Perhaps most meaningful was Josh's recognition of Mercy Flight Central as an example of the future of our industry:
