Mercy Flight Central has been transporting
critically ill or injured persons for 15 years.
In 2006 we transported 744 patients (650 adults
and 94 children). Since 1992 we have transported
nearly 8,000 patients. Mercy Flight Central
transports all persons in need regardless of
their ability to pay. The rapid transport our
patients receive along with the high level of
care provided by our critical care teams, in
many cases, can mean the difference between life
and death.
During an average flight, we
use approximately 95 gallons of fuel in our twin
engine helicopters. The cost of fuel is a
crucial part of our business, and just like you,
we are experiencing sticker shock at the pump.
In 2007 we will be asking
hundreds of businesses and organizations to make
a donation to our Full Tank Campaign. Our
goal is to raise $100,000. Please join in and
make this campaign a success. You and your
employees will have the satisfaction of knowing
that 100% of your contributions will go to
purchase the fuel we need to keep flying.
